6mmbr advice

If I was to suggest a cip no turn reamer with a free bore of 0.090-110.
Don't go longer as you may struggle with other bullets not getting close to the lands compared to the hornady bullets
A 0.060 freebore will be ideal for lighter range of bullets.

Ive taken my 6br barrel off T3 to get a 6xc. Superbly accurate. But barrel a little too long at 24” and mod fitted, and it feeds the top round in the mag. The second and third dont… perhaps I should have done sonething to mag.

Great for highseat work though

6br works lovely with a tikka t3 👍 I only shoot 70gr blitzking out of my one as its set up for foxing so can't help with the 108gr I know mate mate got a rem 700 in 6br and it's a pig to feed

I think its the bullet weight. Above 85gn hard to feed. Even in a t3, which is what I use. I have 1300 amax 105gn, and 600+ berger 105…. Not going to destroy my soul on feeding. So 6xc it is and will rtn to 85gn once 6xc barrel worn out….

The BR becomes nose heavy and causes misfeed by striking the rear of the chamber mouth with heavier bullets

Some folk create and oversized chamfer at the chamber edge to overcome this but it only leads to cases bulging at the base area as the vital area of support above the web is removed

The best solution is CRF action with BR ans heavy bulkets or simply opt for XC that feeds regardless ns offers the same performance and accuracy without any of the hang ups

6xc I'm going for next myself mate 👍👍

I have a Tikka M595 in 6BR, never had any problems feeding anything from 90 - 105 grains projectiles. I am aware of many others who have no feed problems.
Probably down to how well, or not, the whole set up is made. Sometimes the use of a magazine designed for 6 PPC or similar does the job.

My M591 feeds 70 grain, 90 grain, 95 grain, 100 and 105 grain without issues. Both hunting bullets, ballistic tip and Oryx and match, scenar.

Perhaps its the angle of magazine plate? The second round just doesnt feed and bolt carries over not picking up. First one feeds no problem. I just dont get that issue with 80/85gn… havent tried long copper bullets either.

Dont get me wrong - 6br excellent for high seat work or off vehicle, but i do like having a second shot available quickly….

T3 magazine followers don’t usually stick but this might be your issue or a weak spring

Have you tried another mag to check if that feeds any differently

If the stock is aftermarket or has been bedded by someone who “is enthusiastic rather than knowledgable “ then there may be an issue with bolt nose relationship to rear of case head ,,,,,

Agreed. This is just a regular hinged floorplate mag originally for 22-250 Remington. I also load 1 under full capacity always. Dont know if this has anything to do with it???

Supervarmint stock (tikka factory, unbedded) retrofitted for channel for barrel which was a target barrel (light palma profile before I chopped it). Tack driver. Just not fast. Played around with mags.
