7mm rem mag ammo eld-x 162gram

Been offered some of these at a reasonable price reading mixed reviews, suitable for larger Reds or too much meat damage ?

I used to use the 162 SST which will probably be relatively similar in performance. Beyond 200m they were quite good in terms of meat damage but closer than that and they were messy! Ok for head shots but chest shots would lose a lot of meat.

Also interested in this. Presumably a nosler bonded bullet would have less meat damage or maybe a 175gr eldx?
