Hi batleyhunter, the 7mm Boo Boo is a necked down 8x68 RWS and is the little brother of .300 Yogi also based on a necked down 8x68.
The cartridge you are referring to is simply called the 7mm-300WSM.
Hi Guys..super feedback and very reassurring ! Have put a deposit on a Browning X Bolt..that alone was a culture shift as I use a Sauer 202(243 )and a Sako 75 Stainless (308) ,but it is as new and lightly used...I was very impressed with some of the American/Australian You Tube calibre tests, with this rifle...I believe it is 26" , 1 in 10 twist but I stand to be corrected... Cheers,Tony
I have had an x bolt in 7mmRM for 3 seasons, great gun and certainly outperforms my mates 30-06 Tikka at every distance. Never had a problem dropping anything I aimed at. Shoots well with most factory ammo, particularly the 175grs, but havent found anything that shoots well under MOA (I dont handload). Recoil pad on it is decent but would benefit from a brake or moderator (which is illegal in Canada!)
Yes the barrel is 26 inch, I believe the twist is 1 in 9.5 not 1 in 10 though
