A nice food chain video "I don't think"

My current young GWP would drag them back out of the chiller given half a chance. Even worse when they are fresh on the ground. She will grow out off it, all the rest have. Would prefer to have a dog hang on then loose an injured deer. Just youthful enthusiasm 😊.

Getting a dog sharp to take a deer isn’t something you switch on and off, that is a dog capable, experienced and will when asked do what’s needed, me personally don’t see an issue, the deer are for his own consumption and Greg’s a nice lad with a well trained dog, I would much rather have a dog like that than one that just looks at a deer and sits nicely for a picture or two

i remember gralloching a roe buck, the stalkers dog a black lab wolfed down the nuts, i comment the dog liked nuts. MY DOG DOES NOT EAT TESTICALS, maybe you should tell your dog that! not sure he has forgiven me yet

At current levels they are worth more as dog food.
Quite so, £3 per kilo is all I can afford to offer though, when buying.

I’m all for having a trained dog, but not personally at the expense of an otherwise good eating carcass, which I have to say judging from the video didn’t look like it was going to be hard to find. In similar fashion, if I shoot a bird cleanly, I think it is no bad thing to from time to time pick it yourself, as it instils some restraint in the dog (seldom a harmful thing), and ensures that the bird is in best condition for the table.

One’s perspective changes a little when you are expected to pay top dollar for such offerings, though I acknowledge Greg is likely to be sharing the carcass with his dog, by all accounts. You may be surprised at what the venison buyer is whiles offered, though!
