Please could anyone explain how to remove/deactivate my account? After much mulling over, I have decided that a certain member of admin has ruffled my feathers and been ignorant enough to remove my posts/mute me and then ignore my question.

So, before it gets deactivated or however it's done, I'd like to say a quick thankyou to 99 percent of the people on here for any advice I've asked for over the years and the people I've met.

Thanks

I note the hour of your posting.

Perhaps things will not look so "bleak" with the dawning of a new day?

I do not know of what you speak, nor do I need to know, but perhaps it is blown out of proportion?

Seems a shame to cut yourself off from such a decent means of "communicating" with like-minded folk over some spat, especially during the current global situation.

I urge you not to rush in your decision.

@hendrix's rifle, please do not leave.

You have been an active, knowledgeable, and wise contributor to this site for a long time. I learn a lot from you, as do many others, and this place would be poorer for your absence.

Your current little run-in with admin is just a blip. If you were in a pub with them, you would already be buying one another drinks and laughing about it. Also, don't forget that they do an impossible job. They are three 'parents' trying to manage many thousands of opinionated gobsh1tes (including thee and me). They don't earn a penny for their efforts and, I'll wager, it actually costs them money from their own pockets to provide this platform. I wouldn't do their jobs for a gold clock.

Why not have a break for a week or two then come back refreshed and renewed?

Whatever you decide, you should know that you are loved and respected in this community.

Kind regards,

Carl
