Acquiring scrap/deactivated guns

I have made quite a few shot gun stock lamps . And one rifle stocked lamp with a copper pipe as a barrel with open sights fitted and sprayed the barrel black . Best one I made was a side lock with the lock pates and trigger plate fitted . Scrap gun actions not a good idea as they still contain controlled parts . Probably better to use obsolete guns eg muzzle loaders that are wall hangers . Deactivate guns are silly money now due to the new certificates requirements and buying /selling guns on an old certificate is a no no old certificate guns are also supposed to have been registered with the government before January last year ? Due to VCR regulations
. Mine are but I bet there’s a lot that aren’t but they’re not worth the risk if you’re a fac holder.

Not sure where this should be posted, but I'll try here.

Where would be the best place to source off-ticket scrap or deactivated guns? I want to turn old decommissioned guns into ornaments and table lamps. Shotguns or rifles, anything in fact, but shotguns particularly.

Ideally they would still have the action and triggers externally intact for appearance sake even if the internals are absent, as I want to utilise the trigger as a switch. And preferably at least some of the barrel/barrels and stock will be present, but anything could be potentially usable.

What happens to scrapped firearms and what would be the lawful procedure for acquiring them for this purpose?
Nope. Do not turn those firearms into scrap they are historical pieces keep those firearms exactly as they are and protect and preserve them to protect and preserve history. To honour the past and a legacy. Both the Historical and Non Historical firearms but especially the Historical ones.
