When I loaded large amounts of. 303 with the usual dose of 40.0 to 41.0 grains of N140 or N150 I used an RCBS Uniflow. It worked fine.
I then bought some H4831 and got at lot of inconsistent drop issues. So I tried a. Lyman 55 with its "knocker". That appeared to solve the drop issues with H4831.
I've also used a Belding & Mull.
But now I choose a powder as much for how easily it meters as for anything else. So I use Vihtavouri in 140, 150, 160 they meter the best.
Or forthe same reason I use either of the two American ball powders. Long ago gave up on H4831 or H4831SC which is just as bad.

Is Target Master still active? The web site is out of date and an email to them has received no reply. The sensor unit on mine has stopped working and I need to know about repairing/replacing it.

Sorry to hear you're having trouble with your Targetmaster - Yes, I'm still active, I don't advertise because I struggle to keep up with demand. Just recently machines have gone to Russia, Brazil, Indonesia, and Slovenia with customers in now in 26 different countries.
What ever is wrong with your machine can be easily fixed, there's nothing that can't be replaced or renewed, usually free of charge. I've recently repaired a machine that's been in regular use for 24 years.

I bought mine 2nd hand and it broke within weeks of buying,sent 1066 a pm looking for help.
Posted it off and had it returned within a week all working and free of charge.

That's interesting. Any thoughts on why? I have two, maybe three, Lyman 55 from their "battleship grey"paint period. The best of the recent era of Lyman IMHO. because of the door knocker feature really.
I've also a Belding & Mull which is supposedly the "safest" of the lot in that you can't ever undercharge or overcharge as you SEE what is in that separate brass tube before you pour it.
I've had RCBS Uniflow and sold it but still an Ohaus Model 7200 Duo Measure.
Exactly what I do Michael. The Lee powder measure is surprisingly accurate but leaks a little with ball powders.

I have an RCBS Uniflow powder dropper that I was given by a pistol shooter friend who was moving to France. Not sure of the size, but 'II' is stamped on the body. No stand, but has a mounting plate attached. I've never used it, satisfied with the Lee scoops, trickler and scales. It can be collected if you are passing through Dorchester any time, or I can bring it to the Game Fair in 2 weeks time. Would prefer to sell face to face so that the buyer is completely satisfied with what they are buying. £40, no offers!

That's excellent value your RCBS, JTO. There is a member on the Classifieds that is looking for an RCBS Uniflow at present.
That's what I thought, hence 'no offer'. I object to people expecting to get something knocked off a reasonable/realistic price.
