Aigle wellies - how do they size up compared to Le Chateau?

About to press the online 'buy' button on some new Aigle Parcours 2 ISO Open wellies after loads of good reviews on here.

I'd usually pop into my local shop and try a few things on but that's not possible due to the current restrictions.

I'm usually a size 9 / 43 but have tried on a pals Le Chameau's 43 size and was really surprised at how big they were....I could easily put on 2 or 3 thick pairs of socks with room to spare.

So...how do the Aigle wellies size up? 1) on the button 2) loads of room or 3) tight as a ducks arse?

I'm a size 9 and use Aigle Parcours 2 iso open, they are really good but I do need 2 pair of socks to make them a snug fit, no bad thing in winter.

I would agree that theyre on the generous size , not maybe a full size out but id say a half size bigger . Or just wear thicker/2 pairs of socks.

I am a size UK10.
Aigles really bugged me. P2 iso 44 were too tight even with really thin socks. I mean my toes were cramped. But 45 were loose with thin socks. The teenager at the store urged me to buy 44 as they would "loosen up".
I was surprised as every r/v said they were big for size.
In the end i went for 45 as i can at least wear thick socks. I would say try before you buy

i used the European size when I got mine. Think they are a 44 which equates to a 10. I'm usually a 9.5/ 10 depending on manufacturer

They are the best! Had 3 sets over the past 15 years, 2 still going strong despite the best efforts of our Daschund 😂

I would tend to agree, I have both a pair of aigle and le chameau wellies, I’d say the aigles are true to fit over the foot but can be generous around the calf whilst I find my le chameau are the other way around with the calves being more snug and with a more generous fit around the foot. I wear a pair of thick socks with both and never had any problems with either though 👍
