Air rifle ammo on FAC ? I’m confused …. Unless of course it’s above 12 ft/lbs ?My Anschutz Match 54 is almost 50 years old, was a club gun for 30 odd years of that. I expect it’s over 300,000 rounds that’s only 6000 a year and I shoot about 1800 according to the ammo usage on my FAC.
Couple of pics BSA mercury mk11 177Be careful what spring you get chances are you’ll ned to cut the spring down most springs available are longer than the original ones fitted ask me how I know
I’ve a 1975 mk11 mercury that I serviced more or less the same internals as the airsporter the shape of the trigger block as you know is not easy realignment under a new spring tension look at Welsh Willy tuning kit well worth doing remember keep it under 12ft lbs good luck keep us informed on progress.
Have a chrono so no problem, if it’s over I can always add it to my FACRe upgrade / replacement / polishing kits etc.: Just remember to run it over a chronograph afterwards. Possession of an off-ticket s.1 firearm is an absolute offence, i.e. “I didn’t know” is no excuse.

It is very unlikely to exceed 10.5_11 ftlbs not impossible, so do check, but very unlikely.Have a chrono so no problem, if it’s over I can always add it to my FAC
I hope you protected yourself from the nasty lead pelletsI was given my BSA Airsporter for Christmas 1982. As a youngster I put thousands of pellets through it. It remains down at my folks. Last week a squirrel climbed onto the bird feeder. Airsporter 1, squirrel 0.
Wear a condom......or rubber gloves....I hope you protected yourself from the nasty lead pellets![]()
