Am bilin'!!

RED-DOT,
I took my so called mate out and even got him permission on a load of mine and he took his boy on shooting and he did not have any permission on any of mines and i basically told him to not come back on again, he was very pd off but he was the one that made an erse of things, his boy takes his friends onto two of the farms that i go to and yet again his friends did not have any permission at that time, No insurance, act like idiots, gun safety is negligible as they're to busy having a laugh whilst obliterating the rabbits and hares that the farmer wants managed but not outright slaughtered to have none at all (this was as was told from the farmer directly to me), he was told not to take anybody back on the farm after my chat with friend, he even had the cheek to ask one of my main permissions to be able to shoot over his land and my friend asked him about who he shoots with etc and my name came up and my friend pounced on this right away and told him to be on his way as he had already been told of his on-goings with his friends. The farmers know who i am and i get on brilliant with them all and some of them where offered money by others with no permissions in that area (not a lot i dare say) but they knocked them back as they did not want somebody all gung ho and had none of their own interests at heart as well. I now find it hard to trust taking anybody out except old friends, that way i know its not going to be somebody i know that stabs me in the back whilst acting as if one of my best friends. This definitely was never my way of thinking in all my years but if you don't give people an opportunity then you make it a lot harder for them to abuse your trust.

Funny how you come across this and how people can do it is beyond me. I was offered some land or more to the point a good word for me on land that a friend shoots and I just said sorry can't do it, because I wouldn't do that to anyone. I did also told him as well.
mind you, I did think about it for a second :D. But my conscience would not let me entertain the idea.
damn my parents for giving me morals.

Probably happens all the time...
this **** happens every week on practically all the farms i visit, ok some are just door knocking on the offchance but most if not all the farmers are wise to it ,some are hardfaced knowing the land is are allready shot over,

Lost a very nice local patch to a guy who only recently got his FAC. He was friends with the land owner so got on that way. I was asked (as the only one with permission to shoot it) if I would show him around, safe areas, footpaths, boundaries etc and share the shooting. Six months later land owner called me to tell me He was stopping both of us shooting as he didn't want anyone on anymore. Since found out the other guy was never stopped shooting and still goes there, stabbed in the back by someone who smiles to your face.

Mates just had it done to him big time on a large estate down south that he and his friends have had foc for 15 yrs sad thing is they're all old timers real old school and it would probably come to the said s€€€€ter anyways as he is far younger ! Always thought he had a limp wristed handshake and apparently one of the most experienced stalkers in the uk sad if that's what stalkings about these days .
norma.
My last stalk on said estate in the morning news today that another mate has had a so called mate try and smarm a landowner over and get the lease for himself this desease is catching !!

I organise a small 5 member syndicate on a local farm , i just heard this week that two of the members are meant to be taking it on themselves next year , not a big deal for me personally but it is for the other 3 members , bombed out without having a say ,at the last minute

i let mine go this year after 8yrs on shoot two teams ,someone on one of the teams wants the lads cut down and near double money some just dont turn up,so now the lads dont want to do any work parties or beating and ive jacked, its a shame how one ===== can balls it up for everyone,

a sorry state of affairs Colin !!
It would seem with a ever increasing popularity for deer stalking that folk will stoop to ever increasing lows to obtain permissions treading on fellow stalkers even friends to get what they want hope they can sleep at night !

I was asked by the landowner 4 years ago to find him good safe guys to stalk the place it was a nice wee bit of ground with a few roe and fallow , i did it as a favour to the farmer really and got a drink out of it , ive got plenty stalking but i feel a bit for the other members who have been left high and dry
Some folk have no morals

I was out on one of my,.... small,.... permissions last night, ( makes it sound like I got loads). Landowner said some one else had been sniffing for the land but she said "no" because she likes me and I am nice to the sheep. ( how did she know) Now I did try not to laugh, I shoot maybe 2 foxes, if I'm lucky maybe 3. There is one Muntie on there and I may clear 20 rabbits in a year. I had 7 last night, I saw 8.
Usually when I turn up I go in for a chat and a cup of tea, she is a lovely dotty lady and I think she likes the chat. I did say that I don't do it for the return on investment ( the land is free. Sod all deer on there over the last 4 years. We had 1 Muntie 3 years ago) and to be fair I think she knows this as she is nothing if not stupid. Is that a double negative?
i do it mainly because she is a nice person and she wants people she can trust on there so even though it is a 100 mile round trip to her place I like the walk and the interaction. And she is on her own and I feel obliged in a way.

feic knows if this has got anything to do with the price of eggs...

My pal who has been stitched up (this I will elaborate on in another post )summed it up yesterday on our last breakfast together at the estate .stalking has become a RAT RACE of which there is a lot of RATS !

In my case it backfired on the two guys i would say Doug , they were on both my syndicates so it worked well with one going one place one going the other when they were here together , they are obviously not wanted on the 2,500 acre one here any more so have the farm one to stalk together on their visits now , the cheeky bit was they said to the farmer "still give Colin his money for a drink" out of their money each year , i dont need them to do my buisness for me , all a bit annoying when i helped one of them get started and did his paperwork to get a firearms cert in the first place , the most annoying thing is they have taken the stalking from another 3 guys who travel a long way and enjoyed it over there , ive got no time for sneaky folk
