And that's that. Or is it...?

No more 'Prince' Andrew. The final disgrace. I would have expected a revolver and the library, but why would he suddenly do the honorable thing now?

More to come, I suspect
Or he could voluntarily go to the USA and face his accusers, if he has done no wrong he has nothing to fear and after any trial he would be free to earn a fortune on chat shoes and the like.

Not sure I would wish a celebrity trial in the US on anybody ..... and I am not at all sure that the trial will be fair and unbiased, with the outcome potentially generating significant payouts to individuals which may be deserved or not.

Yep......I do wonder whether some other close confidantes of the late Mr Epstein will be publicly defrocked....or maybe decide to hand back honours or .....err....peerages:norty:

HMtK finally did the proper thing, but far too late - perhaps by as much as 6 years or so
What is obvious is that our national "elite", ie the royal family (but not just them), must have known about nonce Andrew's criminal behaviour for decades - but, just like various governments did with the rape gangs, they covered it up

I think they come out of this almost as badly as he does, the whole brand is now severely tarnished, and that is difficult for me to say having once taken an oath of allegiance to that tribe/mob

I heard one really good comment from a bbc commentator for a change
One reporter (can't recall who) said that the king might have been delayed in taking action BUT at least he did something
Unlike those across the pond, both parties, who continue to protect their own no matter how reprehensible they or their actions were

As did I. I know exactly what you mean. Andrew has proven himself to be utterly vile, I have no other words.

I strongly suspect Prince William shares that view, and has no reluctance to publicly demonstrate his contempt for his uncle. I think if William had been king rather than his father we'd have seen much more direct action, much faster. I truly believe William has the best interests of both family, and country in mind. And not necessarily in that order

See how "the firm" throws any and all under the bus to protect their own position. Utterly ruthless. But at least unlike when this was done to their Russian cousins in WW1 there'll be nobody then literally shot to death as a consequence, just metaphorically shot to death. One wonders if he'd been happier if "the firm" had not, as is thought, pressured him to not to be allowed to continue with Koo Stark.

Fun factoid: a socialite of these parts once declared that anybody who was anybody was invited to Epstein’s parties, and that they were now rather relieved that they were not invited….

How ‘lucky’ is that?🤔😆

Its most certainly not a case of "that's that" if the likes of Baroness Hodge, and many less under the radar anti-monachists, are successful in ensuring far closer scrutiny of the Royal's finances on the back of this scandal.

If you're by any degree a synchic you might be forgiven for thinking it is the fear of such Government-lead scrutiny that is the primary driver of the King's actions.

Nearly the whole Royal family are poison.
Andrew's father was an absolute knunt to contractors who worked at Sandringham if they happened to get in the way of his beloved hobby.

It wouldn't surprise me if Andy bolted to the Middle East, he has been offered free accommodation by some sheikh, if you can believe what you hear. Probably no extradition from such countries :-|

He was doomed from the start, whether he is guilty or innocent, regarding the payout to a person who offered services, where are all the other people who went to the islands ? Most of them obviously have better lawyers, and not a press looking for scandal.
All of you need to look at the evidence, he said , she said, a photo of him with her , not in a compromising position, a photo like has been taken a million times over, I doubt if he remembers a quarter of the people he has had a photo taken with, like most so called celebrities, Two living people know the truth Andrew and his personal body guard, has anyone called him to give evidence?, or as in this day and age it’s trial by media.
I sat on a jury once, of a man accused of child sex abuse, his name was out in the public domain, when it came to deliberation, one of the jurors said we may as well find him guilty as he is fxxxxxxd now what ever happens, we did find him guilty, but on the evidence.

Was he really? I suppose they all walked of the job and refused to take a penny.
I am not a fan of the royals, personally don’t give them a second thought, they probably do more good than harm, for all there money I would not like there job, and yes it is a job, what I don’t, like is the politics of envy.
