Fiddleheads or fiddlehead greens are the furled fronds of a fledgling fern, harvested for use as a vegetable. Left on the plant, each fiddlehead would unroll into a new frond.
And here's me thinking stalkers are all solitary sorts, creeping through dark dank woods or striding over windswept high munro wastelands all by themselves. Maybe instead we could choose a date, all stay at home and have a microwave meal all at the same time. Then our Australian, American and elsewhere chums could join in. Even though it would be a silly time for them probably.
On a slightly more serious note the problem is, of course that we are spread far and wide and that's just UK members. Even choosing somewhere central would be, for some an over night job and two nights for a lot. So it transforms from an evening with a meal and a drink to a city (or country) break and it soon adds up financially.
Other than that, it's a good idea.

Fair point, money is tight nowadays.
Sooo running with the spirit of this excellent idea - why not a series of local SD gala nights - say by region and as the highlight of this spectacular series perhaps even an attendee prize draw with, oh shucks, I don’t know, maybe a fine set of Quad Sticks as the prize? I really think that has legs - sorry, the idea that is….
Just let me know a week or two in advance chaps and I will ensure that the other Northern Ireland SD member, who incidentally (err not wishing to influence the prize draw of course) is not even a Supporter (pause for 300 or so SD Supporters’ collective gasp) really, like really, gets their invite.
Gosh this is really exciting, don’t you just love it when a plan (finally) comes together…..

thats gonna cause some consternation.
Is there room for the rainbow crowd to have their own night too? We must be inclusive these days or there may be litigation.
For the fifty five here of the above it could be a joyous occasion ha ha.
Twist it again to have a day where members actually got off the chair and went out stalking.
