Another walked up day with the dogs

Left the hoose at the back of 9 this morning and was back for 1645 with pretty much snow falling the whole day.

Was over a foot of snow,roads atrocious and hard going for the dogs but again well worth the effort.Maybe have the last walk of the season tomorrow and that will do for the game for another year.
Two pheasants missing from the bag pic as stopped at a wee bit and dropped another two.

Reminds me of the last time we had proper snow down here - dog must have weighed half as much again as normal with all the snow stuck under his chest! And feet twice the size too where it’d balled up on the hairs between his pads.

Took the old fella for a walk around the woods yesterday morning - he loved it, made sure he had his coat on though as he’s got very little body fat now. Snow all stuck to his feet when I put him back in the car.

Shop stop midday and a pack of ham each,doesn't even touch the sides.
