Anschutz 1416L DKL sear

The sear in my Anschutz 1416L DKL has broken. My gunsmith has been in contact with Viking Arms who are the UK distributor. Unfortunately, Anschutz will not supply the sear as an individual component, they will only supply a complete trigger unit for the princely sum of £250.

My gunsmith has suggested if I am prepared to wait he will likely get a suitable Anschutz model in for decommissioning at some point, from which he will be able to cannibalise the sear. A good idea but this could take 3 months or 3 years. He has said he could make one, but he would prefer not to for a rifle which still has OEM parts available.

Can anyone offer any suggestions which can get my shooting my .22 again in a timely fashion.

Could it be laser welded and redressed to suit? It's amazing what the laser welders are capable of, putting 3 thou onto a surface so a thou can be dressed off and polished with amazing precision!
