Any Gold Stackers on SD?

I have a colleague who buys coins and he said he buries them in little stashes here and there. He does not like the idea of them being in his home, or a bank.

I kinda believe him as he is a bit eccentric.

Sounds like the guy I know, he buys physical gold & silver, has been for years, him and his mother have a few acres of land away from their home that they grow fruit & veg on, he has indicated that some of his is stashed/burried on their plot... they are both eccentric...

I dont buy gold and silver physically but I do trade Forex and particularly Gold. Have done for ten years now, first three years were on demo accounts but not it is all funded. Have a few extremley good accounts which are close to setting me up to financial freedom

For every ounce of gold in existence there are over 100 people that believe they own it !

I was lucky enough to be given a couple of gold coins by my employer by way of bonuses a few years back and they have appreciated nicely - my plan is to buy more gold and maybe silver coins in the coming years as a way of being able to pass some wealth onto my kids without having to worry about IHT.
Be interested to hear what folk recommend as to who you buy from - Royal Mint or is there a better option?

I might start buying gold sovereigns and store them in my ammo box, that way when I snuff it there will be something in my cabinets which has an intrinsic value, as pretty sure my guns won’t!!
My desire to leave money for the hmrc is pretty low, esp as they have benefitted pretty well from me during my career, so a bit of gold for the kids (grandkids if I ever have any) which would be under the radar at carking time then it will be a nice surprise for them.
