When I moved here to Sweden I changed my UK driving licence for a Swedish one. When Inpassed my test for a car, many moons ago you could drive a 7 ton lorry on a car licence. When I got my swedish licence and because they had no aquivalent to a 7 ton truck they gave me every class on my new licence from moped to the biggest lorry and trailer. Plus coach/ bus with trailer.
One lunch break at work the lads were talking about their driving licences and I showed them mine. Why was I not driving a lorry? one lad asked. I explained that having a Licence and driving a lorry, even though I have driven a 7 tonner a couple of time are two completly different things.
I gave up the lorry and coach part of my licence when I renewed my licence at 70.

Me and my mate must have it quite good class 2 bevertail drivers delivering plant hire around all Yorkshire regions between 5/6 deliverys and collections in all a day dependent on distance loads of overtime if wanted but can’t remember the last time we worked past 4pm start at 7am £35k it dose help that the office staff that sort out the transport don’t have a clue which works very well for us
