So I am doing a bit of research for my friend.

He was given this gun and wants to know more about it,

Age? The company that made it? How much it might be worth etc.

It certainly looks to be in good untouched condition which is a bonus.

The Damascus barrels externally look also to be in good condition.

Hazarding a guess as to age….prior to1860‘s no later than1880’s.

The Black Powder proof marks (Birmingham) shown on the underside of the barrels were used prior to 1904.

Depending on the condition of the bores as to what value it would attain, if in good usable condition the price goes up accordingly, if close to or out of proof value obviously decreases.

Can’t find any reference to C H Wagner London……it’s quite possible that the percussion shotgun was merely retailed by them.

I suspect that Wagner is just the business that sold it? This gun has platinum safety plugs and the overall look of the gun is of quality. My thoughts are it was maybe made for Wagner by Westley Richards? Birmingham proof? As Fosbery Holster says I think it was retailed by Wagner but made by another and that that another knew what they were about. The thing from the hammers to the pineapple finial says best quality.
