Anyone Ordered from Brownells recently?

Has anyone recently placed an order with Brownells recently for something in their EU Warehouse? If yes how long did it take? Currently on working day 12 of a 6-10 day lead time item and it’s still not in the UK cleared.

Magazine from merica took 11 days Through Brownhills.
Then customs spanked me for £13 putting 3 more days on the " journey ".As the Royal fail wouldn't deliver till customs confirmation I'd paid 🙄

Uk Brownhills website, shows uk stock but isn't. Anything you order is shipped across the pond .
Hence the customs involvement, weird 🤔 5 times ordered American stuff.
Only twice got customs charges, don't know how they work it out .atb

It seems to show 3 different types of stock on their website, UK stock, EU stock and American stock. There isn’t much UK stock be be fair, but having been to their place in rugby once I can understand that as it’s pretty small.

Website clearly saying prices include VAT and duty. Will be grumpy if that’s lie like their lead times

I have, from the EU warehouse. It took a lot longer than stated but no additional charges. I reached out to them for an update and they evidenced the item was tied up in customs clearance due to Brexit. They were good with communications after that. It was worth the wait for the price paid.

I thought the Brownells ‘drop-shipping’ method eliminated the customer getting involved with customs (tax being paid to HMRC by Brownells on arrival in the U.K. & then charged to the customer by Brownells as normal VAT). Certainly whenever I’ve ordered from Brownells there’s been no HMRC levied VAT that I’ve had to pay - the Brownells price already had that included.

As I said twice I've been " had" its the post office refused to deliver till customs charge paid. They refused to accept Brownhills system had already paid.

As per other replies I was of the belief even if the items show coming from EU or America you don’t pay import charges. Hence the prices being so high compared to the American website.

I bought 2 items (USA in stock) 4 days apart, they both came on the same day which was 17 days after the first item was ordered, I chased them because Royal Mail tracking showed they weren’t in possession and the delivery wasn’t as quoted, the response was “they’re in the UK waiting to clear customs”, no apology, no consideration for the customer, less personal and approachable than an automated message. Delivered by Royal Mail no additional charges.

Similar issue developing. I placed an expensive order on 8 June for fulfilment from their EU warehouse and today, 24 Jun, still no tracking number (16 days)! Brownell's advice last week was that until it clears UK Customs there will be no tracking number or update
