Never cooked game but got an air fryer a few months ago and can honestly say I’ve not used my oven since. It cooks superbly, marginally faster and a lot more even. Oven chips are brilliant. No preheating is necessary. I’m a total convert and wouldn’t be without one now. Loads of recipes etc on YouTube.

I have one, a Tefal something or other. Has the usual basket that all do but also came with a proper griddle thing you can put in the bottom which is briliant for cooking meats on.

As @scotch_egg says, fries and chips are superb in the air fryer. Quicker and better than an oven.

What is also good are burgers and steaks. I would still put loin in the pan on the hob but if you are cooking a venison burger for example, the air fryer does it brilliantly on the griddle attachment.

Lb of mince, 50grams of beef fat, a healthy dose of onion granules and some seasoning and smoked paprika and mix it up, shape in to your burger and chuck in the air fryer for 8 minutes. The fat renders down and because it cooks it all round and from underneath you get an even cooked through burger which is not dry. Really juicy. I have a couple each week.

Bacon is not too bad in them either and doesn't smoke the house out like it does when you grill them using the oven. Put in tin foil and no mess to clean up.

Onion rings are also stupidly well cooked and crispy in an air fryer.

Sweet potato hash is another good one.

hi if you type in ninja in to Facebook loads of ninja groups and have a look on amazon for a book called bored of lunch the health air fryer book plus bacon very nice too

They're definitely quicker than your oven. They are heating a much smaller space and you can get some amazing results. Yes, I've got 6 grandchildren, so any frozen oven chips, chicken nuggets and variations on that all come out better. Baked potatoes are great. Start them off in the microwave and finish them in the Ninja. Superb! I've tried the dehydrate so far on fruit. Strawberries and bananas and I've also done some marinated salmon. All taste great. Not got around to doing any meat yet.

Through the years, there's been a succession of fads to clutter up your kitchen worktops, but this is one that is actually useful! The toastie maker, George Foreman grill and various whiz-up-your-fruit machines are all in the shed. But I can see this one lasting. Mainly because it's so versatile.

I bought one a couple of months ago on the recommendation of friends and family and haven't used the oven since, great results with bacon, steaks, burgers, etc.

>’ve got the same model, planning on trying out the dehydrate function soon to make some venison biltong/jerky

Not sure about Biltong, ( might be a bit warm?) but the dehydrate function on mine is great for drying ultrasonic cleaned cartridge cases!

Used mine to dehydrate some goose for dog treats. Was really good. As others have said anything frozen will cook fantastically as will roasties and Yorkshire puddings.

I’ve no idea as I’ve not tried either before but it was a plan anyway 😂

Not sure how u get a whole chicken in one of the drawers tho doesn't seem big enough 🤔
The ninja xl will fit a medium chicken, I’ve done it a few times, is best to tie the legs though or they get stuck when you try open the drawer, although I’ve managed to open it each time with a bit of a wiggle
