archer night vision or atn ps22

Eric The Red, apologies, I only saw your question after re-reading this

"Forgive me for this (because I rate Scott Country as a dealer) - but isn't it a little ironic to be promoting NV gear at a deer stalking fair?!"

Yes I agree, and thank you for your comment, however the rules of exhibiting at the fair, is that the products we sell have to be related to deer stalking "in some way"

Therefore I appreciate night vision is not allowed for stalking deer at night, however thermal imaging, and hand held night vision can play a crucial role in species identification, retrieval of injured animals and of course a large majority of stalkers also participate in fox control, lamping and vermin control.

We asked the question initially as we planned on bringing clothing and trail cameras etc, however as we are "Night Vision Specialists" and have a portable dark room, it seems the ideal opportunity to let customers who dont often get to see this kit, to come along and try out the new models.

The organisers were more than happy for us to have this range on display, so hopefully it will not cause any offence, as I am confident most stalkers visiting, also participate in other forms of hunting, fox , rabbit etc.

As for the comments regarding Starlight, all the NV tubed devices we sell have been selected by grade according to specification and price and are fully warranted.

When you try some of the new kit you will be very impressed, particularly the Yukon Photon 5x42 Riflescope, which is a formidable piece of equipment for the price.

In all seriousness, without my sales hat on, the Yukon Photon 5x42 NV teamed with a Nightmaster NM800IR is quite probably the best night vision weapon sight I have ever used, this side of £1000 and I have used most of them on the market.

The Photon is potentially retailing for under £400......

Adrian0100, get in touch if you would like to try a demo unit at home for 7 days through Scott Country.

I would also like to clarify that as one of the organisers of the Fair, Scott Country did ''ask' if we were okay with these products being there. As they say, many who stalk deer are also involved in fox control. The theme that was explained to all exhibitors was that their stand and products is in relation to stalking in some way but other similarly related products would be acceptable to keep with the promise we made at the beginning, and that was no 'non related' products. I hope that explains that and why the NV kit will be on display.

I appreciate the comment about night vision kit and deer and why it was made, but the last deer management group in my area actually went onto my stalking to demonstrate the latest hand held unit and its effectiveness on spotting deer at night.

I have never used NV before but will look forward to playing about with the kit at the Fair.
