Our lab x bmh is not going be 9 in march and she won’t be retired any time soon ( she is sleeping on my feet as I write). She is a good working dog, but really is a superb dog around the house and out and about. She is very good natured and no issue with little children crawling all over her or just being given lots of attention. But equally she is totally happy asleep by the fire or in her bed.
I have heard different views on BMHs - some say they are not good house dogs, others say that they are. Any dog that we have will be a house that works, rather than the other way around.
