I didn't keep too close a tabs on Saubier's after I got back into long range shooting. That being said, I do get a ping every once and a awhile from Jim Saubier (he's around the Bozeman, MT area). As you said, interests changed, and a lot of the old timers passed away. Not even sure if MontDoug is still kicking; he was getting on in years. AB (Adam Bentley) started a gunsmithing business (Dresden Gunworks), but last I heard he got caught up in drugs (meth maybe?), left his wife and kids, shacked up with some woman that was a bone over 18, and then fell off the face of the planet. Epperson passed away as well, and many other well known people in the sub-caliber world. Even Todd Kindler was looking to sell off the Woodchuck Den so he could retire.
I believe Saubier's just wasn't getting enough traffic to justify the hosting costs and software licensing, so it got shutdown. A shame, since there was an incredible amount of information on that site.
