just a heads up on the arken ep5 .i have had mine for less than one year and it has failed so has been returned to optics warehouse . they have checked the scope and confirmed what i already knew its faulty and be been sent off to be repaired ,three weeks with out a scope so far and no contact to say if its being repaired or replaced ,so far i have missed four club shoots an looks like i will be absent from the next two at least. i think optics ware house should have offered a temporary replacement so i could continue my sport. just be careful where and who you spend your money with. having a gold service warranty will not help you shoot when its away for Weeks/months being repaired

From what you have said I take it that you purchased the scope from the Optics Warehouse so your contract would have been with them?
If so I'm surprised that they simply didn't replace the scope as they are normally very good with regard to customer relations.

Good afternoon ,yes purchased from optics warehouse. i also explained i would be with out a scope and it was required for my continued use as i had shoot dates arranged . optics ware house said send it in and they would get it checked and thats it so far <other than being told its at least four week turn around> no offer of a replacement or temporary loan nothing at all. i know its a warranty claim but i wont be buying an arken scope again and wont waste any more money at optics warehouse

UPDATE: REPLACEMENT NEW SCOPE ARRIVED TODAY,THIS ONE IS ALSO FAULTY< WATER OR OIL DOTS ALL OVER THE INTERNAL LENSES>.LIKE LOOKING THROUGH A FAILED DOUBLE GLAZED WINDOW.VERY VERY POOR . if this is the ARKEN warranty i wonder what fault the next one will have. optics warehouse very sorry etc etc but i am still left with no useable scope . be very careful where and who you spend your money with .

Might i ask why you didn’t make your purchase from DNT Optics?

Good evening ,i used optics warehouse as they were the only ones advertising them at the time. i had not heard of dnt?

UPDATE, arken are sending a second replacement scope, another delay ! but this time it is being sent to optics warehouse to be checked by them<arken obviously dont have their own quality control team and optics ware house are only supplier to general public> think buying an arken scope was a massive mistake on my part.i will post on here if and when my replacement scope arrives and if usable will test it in november at bisley. my advice is any one thinking of buying an arken optic think twice and put your money some where else .

Got to be honest I've used one at the moa challenge as have many others with excellent results. I've been very impressed. I'm sorry you've got a dud.

I've had similar issues with swaro, s&b and ior. I was without scopes for a significant amount of time. I think you are clearly quite upset and justifiably but apart from vortex they will all respond the same way.

It's a tactical dialling scope at bargain basement prices. You've got to be realistic.

i found the scope on par with my element titan until it went faulty <less than a year old and used 12 times> ,but to get a new faulty scope as a replacement shows very poor quality control ,my element scope is five years old and has been used alot more and <at the moment stands its self in high re-guard compared to the arken> i should have just bought another element titan but wanted a bit more magnification . a lesson learnt the hard way, more money spent for an infirior product.!

I had an issue with a Sightron scope that I had purchased from OW. The return process was easy and the scope went off to the States for repair, returning in just over the two week mark. The package even included a note from the technician indicating what he had found and replaced.

I had a look through an Arken scope on the range and the construction / glass looked very reasonable for the price. As I understand it, the higher magnification models only come in FFP, which is not my preference and hence takes it off the table for me.

All of my dealings with Optics Warehouse have been very satisfactory.

I’ve had one about a year now so far so good with mine. What went wrong with your original one?

Do any manufacturers offer you a replacement scope while yours is away for inspection/repair?
A few years ago I bought a Burris 3x12x56mm ir scope second hand when I received it I could not get it to zero properly and so contacted Burris.
I told them I had bought it second hand and the previous owner said he had dropped it.

I was asked what ammunition I had used told them and they said sent it too us for examination. 2days later I received an email we are sending you a brand new one it is in the post.
I duly received the new one. Burris Optics a fantastic service
