Badly cut paw!!

Daz,is it swollen around the cut at all?The devil with paws is the dog can get it dirty easily and infection can set in,course of antibiotics will clear it up but it'll take longer to heal if this happens,I'd be checking with the vet as you're saying you're going to do,try as you are to keep it clean,if you know a shepherd at all ask him for foot spray,iodine to spray on his foot,it'll help clean and heal it

As Wolverine says Iodine spray. There is a Betadine spray for dogs readily available. Daily use helps cut down on scar tissue as well.

Just back from the vets and max will need to have his paw re stitched under a general anaesthetic
He goes in at 9am tomorrow.
