Basc bashing .....

When all the while we were only asking basc to do what we pay them to do,represent us.
I agree with jimbo,it has taken them a while to show their true colors ,if and when it starts to affect their bottom line, they might just make a start. john

Well, I have only been a member of BASC for the last 4 years, but due to their laxness on the GP issue, and their apparent apathy regarding NE (happy to be proved wrong), they can kiss my ring before getting any more money out of me!!?

And I notice DavidBASC has been conspicuous by his absence recently? Speaks volumes, doesn't it? Pretty appalling that one of the largest representative bodies has treated its membership so shamefully. I'm not surprised he's embarrassed to show his face

Disaffiliation would be a nightmare for BASC and maybe therefore a game changer for its membership. However, Leopard and spots - apologies necessary I think, recognition of failings, promises to listen and act on membership issues rather than things like fire-lanterns when more pressing issues run wild.

David BASC withdrew from here when the temperature rose about 3 months ago by asking if anyone wanted BASC to stay,
I'm sure he is watching - its his job. So far, since the new CEO, my letter, and chances to explain the reason for a change of direction, I have seen no change - fire-lanterns of course.
Waiting until the new crop of insurance membership sees them through the 'cold' months.

Hi Home Loader, yes it is. I received one a couple of days back. Decided to ignore it and see what happens.

I've just cancelled my DD, my membership ends in July, I'll be switching over the CA who seem far more proactive and have prominent members with the ability to lobby Parliament regarding the GP issue, I know that they are actively seeking to get eyes on the new HO proposals before they are presented to Parliament.

Very disappointed in BASC at the moment. I don't feel they represent anyone other than the minority that love their game shooting each winter.

I will likely have to find someone else to provide my DSC2 e-portfolio (likely the NGO) as this isn't something that the CA cover.

Wish my wildfowling clubs would dis-affiliate from BASC. They get my money whether I like it or not.
Same with my stalking syndicate, only in with them because it made a block renewal, everyone's renewal on the same date, (understand the need to reduce hassle for the syndicate management) .... but I do wish we could go elsewhere.

I had some of my B.A.S.C. bashing days confused with another member on here, also pressure was put on my former target club secretary during his day job, @ Marford mill.:coat:
