BDS North West England Range Day, Sunday 6th June, Grayrigg, Cumbria

The two to the right were the first after slight correction of numbers 1 and 1 sighters

The three at the cross are the group

Certainly works with factory PRC ammo

Look forwards to seeing groups after load development

Absolutely cracking day thanks very much to the team that made it happen, I know there’s a lot of thought that goes into it.

Yesterday at Grayrigg saw our first range day back and we were rewarded with blazing sunshine in the beautiful Lake District. Even with 45 shooters we were oversubscribed. The focus of the day was non-lead ammunition, Committee member Andy Massingham of Bowland Custom riflesmith, vet Simon Roch & Alastair Boston, Deer Officer for the Forestry Commission were on hand to help with any queries.

They were accompanied by Ed Bewsher of @Edinburgh Rifles who brought a large stock of non-lead ammo including a copper 100 grain .243 round he has developed. A number of those attending said they were experiencing issues sourcing non lead rounds but we were able to order in some for all calibres present including some of the more obsolete ones. Nearly all attending tried lead free and were impressed with the results.

Thanks to all of the volunteers (over 15 of them) who helped on the day.
