Beam width of Solaris srx

Hi all

My Solaris srx is good in many respects but I find that I mainly use it with the widest beam and often feel I could use even more width. I pretty much never use the tightest beam as it only illuminates a small proportion of the fov and when using on high mag at a distance that would illuminate the screen it’s too pixelated to be practical. Recently I used it indoors for rats on a 12ftlbs air gun and it was too powerful at the lowest power and I swapped for the illuminator that comes with the alpex.

I have never compared with another srx or blade pbir etc so not sure what to expect. Can these units be adjusted to give increased flood beyond what comes from the supplier or am I perhaps not setting it up correctly?

The new Solaris V2 is supposed to have a wider beam. Still a heavy lump like the original. The Wraith ESL from Ludicrous Lumens is much lighter with more beam adjustment without any loss of performance.
