What’s everyone’s thoughts on using a shooting bench and chair for zeroing? I’ve been thinking of gettin one to get off the ground also with bench bags

I bought one of these (about two years ago), because my mate had one.

It is still in its box...

When I can be arsed to unpack it, they are useful.

Had some off-cuts of chunky timber (8”x2”ish I think) that I made into a sort of L-shape. Screwed a couple of stubs to the base and it clamps into a workmate. Heavy and solid.

I've been using one of these with the air rifles and am very pleased with indeed Stevie. It's better on hard surfaces, but perfectly workable on soft and for the price point, the value is amazing. Lightweight, folds up to fit easily in car and is deployed in seconds. I'm a good six months out for the FAC, but from memory, there were videos on YouTube of centre fire users using this table.

I didn't fancy spending to much and got this on Amazon which has served me well zeroing and plinking with the air rifle in the garden (using a front rest) - sturdy, folds down & a good height for a folding chair too - can't complain for £26 (and also really handy for bbq season too 😉)1000000198.webp

I use one of these with a Caldwell sled, and an old tractor front weight on the sled.
