Is it just me being a reactionary old git or is this simply hideous ? Each to their own taste I suppose. There appear to quite a few for sale.

My understanding of the rifle design is that its for backpack hunters, where every gram of weight is calculated and the intended rifle use is for preferably "one" shot at a animal
like one of the sheep species etc.

Glendine.

I've just sold my Lupo which was very much a marmite rifle at the best of times. There is a significant weight saving with the Alpha, but to my eye it both hideous and looks like it would be a nightmare to keep clean.

Thanks - I’m thinking about one in .223. Mai ask what you replaced it with? I gave up .243 as a calibre and wish did kept it now you can get good copper rounds for it.

Wasn't so much replaced as wasn't being used. I have a Bergara Crest in .308 for stalking and for foxing I'm using a T3X in 22-250. So was just sat in the cabinet looking forlorn. Was a very soft shooter in .243 so can imagine it feeling like a rimfire with .223

i love the idea of light weight guns, my mate (ok a guy i know) shoots a 20 bore, because is lighter to carry. when i pointed out he was about 20kg over weight he didnt see my logic

I seen this earlier today. I like to keep my guns fairly clean, this would be a ball ache trying to keep that stock clean.

I am reactionary old git ,but if it shoots , I'd take it . I love old-school steel and walnut rifles , but I also hangout with a lot of sheep freaks ( I used to be one ) that weigh every ounce . They'll love this .
