I’m interested in buying a Beretta BRX1, primarily because it’s configurable left handed, but also because I think I’d like a straight pull rifle.
I already own and am happy with a reasonably nice, older 6.5x55 (right handed), but in many European countries, (I live in Central Europe) 7mm is the minimum calibre for boar.
Therefore, I’d probably buy the BRX1 in 308.
I do like to punch holes in paper at longer ranges too, so I would consider growing my hair and buying a 6.5 Creedmoor barrel for the Beretta.
The BRX1 is marketed as a hunting rifle, and I’m not a competition shooter, but I have seen in a few places that the exchange 6.5 Creedmoor barrel for this rifle is marked as “heavy barrel”.
Cutting to the chase, does anyone have experience with the BRX1 in 6.5 Creedmoor and is it a decent range rifle in this calibre?
