I am trying to locate the best gas burner to get to boil out deer heads in my big pot outdoors. The one I do have is the camp stove that sort of works, but is not powerful enough to get a rolling boil. Any tips?

You could just get one of the rings out of an old gas cooker. Probably pick one up at local scrap yard.
Put it on some bricks, with a few more bricks around it to support your container and block the draught.

Plenty similar, cheaper if made of chinesium

OK so I’ve only ‘done’ maybe a couple of dozen decent heads but gave up on boiling and faffing about skinning etc a long time ago in favour of burying the complete head up to the pedicles in a builders bucket of good garden earth (inc a few worms) then forgetting it for a twelve month... result a clean head, will bleach nicely if taken out and left in the summer sun.

Get a roofing torch for applying felt, position it pointing upwards surrounded by a few brick on edge (To sit the pan on) I use an old beer keg with the lid chopped off as a pan 👍 works a treat for reds

I had a burro boiler which was fantastic but went tits up when we had flood I now use a tar boiler the only problem with it is learning to controlling it but once you've mastered that its a great bit of kit
