I had an old small led lenser thst had a lever on the back if I remember you just resched back and could increase or decrease brightness...and head lamp itself one for flood to spot ....no proximity pish or like ..always meant to get another when it packed in

If you can remember the model I will probably buy one too.

I just want really really bright and not anti socially bright - it doesn’t need to be cleverer than me and need training to figure out

My new to me model has an LED lamp that you wind up the power at the side of the head lamp, and widen or narrow the focus if required, rechargeable. (model H7R CORE) 7 year warranty 1000 lumens 250mtr.

Look for LED head torch on eBay. Mine cost me £10 or so.2 18650 rechargeable batteries. High beam, low beam, spot to flood.
Had it for years now.
