Best thermos for soup

O.k. Looking for advice on how to keep my soup hot for around 5 hours, ive tried a couple and even though I love my Kleen kanteen thermos and insulated mugs their soup thermos is more than disappointing even when I pre heat it with boiling water.
So go on what do you use, and it needs to be to eaten from not some skinny as top thing so I need to take a bowl also.
cheers.

I have a thermos one with a spoon in the lid. They do a small red one that doesn't quite fit a proper 600g soup in, but they do a larger version that takes a 600g perfectly only it's not a soup version so doesn't come with the spoon lid. Good thing is though, the lids work across models so I now have my perfect soup flask.

I microwave my soup around 0600 and it's still hot at 1200-1300. Sometimes it'll be so hot still, I have to leave it open for a few minutes. That's without pre heating. I have soup in it basically daily as it's my work lunch.

They all work, trick is to pre heat them with boiling water for 5 mins, and then put your chosen food into there at a very hot almost boiling temp, then it will stay eating warm for well over 6-7hrs

Some solid recommendations above.

You can also extend the hot time by pouring boiling water straight out the kettle into the soup flask and leaving it for a few minutes to heat up the steel before putting the soup in.

‘Modern’ steel flasks are a very poor substitute for the original glass thermos vacuum flasks that were common place forty years ago. Obvious caveat they broke more often, but if looked after, we’re by far superior to anything you get now.

I also use the thermos wide mouth ones. I have the large one and it could probably fit 2 cans in but i only use it for one. I use it every day of the winter for work and never pre heat it. Its too hot to chug at 1030 and at 1330 its still plenty warm enough. I'm very happy with mine. I wouldn't use a spoon anyway as drink straight from the flask

I use the stainless thermos too ,very good but If u want hot hot this is plan B

I had one of the thermos food flasks, but even when preheated soup was fairly tepid by lunchtime (5-6 hours). I got one of the Stanley ones for Christmas and it’s miles better. Soup is still steaming hot by lunchtime. Only slight draw back is the Stanley doesn’t have a cup.

Will pop to the car in a mo and get mine out. Chicken and vegetable soup, microwaved at 0600. This customer's warehouse is an absolute ice box so I'm chomping at the bit to get my nice hot soup out

If it's smooth soup, rather than chunky, have a look at the Zojirushi vacuum flasks.

They used to do them on Amazon in the UK but it seems these days they bring them over from Amazon in the US:

Amazon product ASIN B08TLWKVCS
I bought mine back in 2017 and have used it daily. It keeps my coffee piping hot, and certainly warm enough to drink for at least 24 hours, with no pre-warming required. In the past I used to drink from it on the drive to the airport and the coffee was still plenty warm enough to drink when I returned the next day. I was that impressed I bought one for Mrs Gunn too.

I have a cupboard full of Stanley flasks, as well as a Yeti or two, but haven't found anything to touch the Zojirushi. That said, I did buy one of their hot food flasks and found it nowhere near as good.
