Whats the best value multi tool for practical use. I know everyone says leatherman but what's good for practical use and value for money

I have a SOG which is really good, if a little big, I have a leatherman micro which stays in my glove box, a gerber which remains in my drag bag, the one I carry in my shooting trousers pocket is a leatherman skeletool, this is the one I use and carry the most, its probably got the least amount of features, but a enough to get you through most situations

I use a Gerber Essential. Decent wee tool. Pliers, two screwdrivers, and a knife blade. Folds up small enough to go in your pocket

Im looking what to get not where. I looking to know what best quality without leatherman price but thanks for your helpful comment
Hello, Ok understand, My Son gave me a Leatherman many years ago and they are tops for quality, I bought similar off Temu and not as well made but only a tenner

Got a Leatherman Wingman for my 30th from a couple of mates - nearly two decades ago, brilliant bit of kit.

Noticed it missing in the last month - gutted, but sure it will turn up.

Probably in my suitcase as I always take it on holiday.

I hope you are ok? I would say it depends on what you are after. I use a Sog Mini for Every Day Carry and then I have a Leatherman wave which is in my kit bag for if I need it. They are both brilliant but for specific uses.

Ok well there definitely some good suggestions here il go research what recommendations were made and might just purchase

I have had a leatherman wave for ages. A presents, not cheap, but I broke one of the tools. I forget which and sent it back to be repaired. Got a new updated model in return post, no hassle, no quibble, so it wasn’t expensive really. Use it a lot.

That's the ones I posted above. Got them as a backup to my leatherman, and was amazed at just how good they are for the price.
That sounds good are they bulky? For if want it on the belt and as neat an small as possible

I have had a very strong Victorinix for maybe 10 years or so.

Gerber is not good stuff and leatherman is typical US brand hype. I snapped the blade on a Gerber in a few weeks, good knows how that was years ago

Have a look on Hennie Haynes.
