Willie_Gunn the manufactures warranty starts from the time of purchase from the retaler not the manufacturer however unlike electrical goods we dont get a warranty slip to fill in & post off with proof of purchase dated to the manufacturer, however this dose not affect your rights, acording to my local TS officer the manufacturers warranty stands from time of purchase as goods are new at that time and £160 wasnt a knockdown price as rrp was £165 or £169 on these & i paid £160 to Marsh House Farm, who while they are compettive on price are less than useless when something is wrong & have an appalling attitude towards their customers, which is why i will never buy from them again, id rather have paid 5 or £10 extra and not had to spend on postage & been in dispute for several months, i persued this as a matter of principle although i like manny can ill afford to spend good money for bad products & service.
i am very pleased with the result however & pleased Deerhunter honoured their warranty eventually unlike Marsh House Farm who will never have my trade again.
