Beware Deerhunter products

I don't see well done Deerhunter, if they had done it at the first complaint then yes but not after the bad publicity they were getting on the net.
I will certainly be cautious about buying from them.

Deerhunter offer a 5 year warranty, Deerhunter - 5-year warranty.

This complaint is about trousers that were already six years old at the time of purchase. I actually think Deerhunter have gone beyond their remit here to protect their good name. I'm actually encouraged by their reaction. I also wonder what would have happened before we had the Internet!

There is certainly good reason to be cautious, but more about buying redundant and discontinued stock at a bargain price. As ever, if it looks too good to be true, it probably is.

If we're talking "Customer Service" I'd like to thank the kind and trusting Lady who runs the Farmers Den in Devon. Tried to purchase some of their excellent alpaca socks last week only to find she does not have a visa card machine but was most happy for me to take the socks and post a cheque once back in London. :thumb

How nice to be so trusted.

Willie_Gunn the manufactures warranty starts from the time of purchase from the retaler not the manufacturer however unlike electrical goods we dont get a warranty slip to fill in & post off with proof of purchase dated to the manufacturer, however this dose not affect your rights, acording to my local TS officer the manufacturers warranty stands from time of purchase as goods are new at that time and £160 wasnt a knockdown price as rrp was £165 or £169 on these & i paid £160 to Marsh House Farm, who while they are compettive on price are less than useless when something is wrong & have an appalling attitude towards their customers, which is why i will never buy from them again, id rather have paid 5 or £10 extra and not had to spend on postage & been in dispute for several months, i persued this as a matter of principle although i like manny can ill afford to spend good money for bad products & service.
i am very pleased with the result however & pleased Deerhunter honoured their warranty eventually unlike Marsh House Farm who will never have my trade again.

I have an old dx shooting jacket by deer hunter and noticed one of the press studs had come of the cartridge pocket, emailed them direct in Denmark and I received a full set of replacement studs a couple of days later! You can't get better than, couldn't fault the service I received.

Deer Hunter if you are reading these posts can you please put loops on the inside of all of your coats so we can hang them up.Wf1

I am glad to see a reaction from Deerhunter, albeit a bit late ,the customer should have been dealt with in a reasonable manner rather than a formal letter disowning the fault with the goods ,Hunting clothing is a niche market and bad news travels rather fast, I see that they have completed a form of damage limitation in order to keep .their reputation in tact, so well done to all and especially social media :tiphat:
I have purchased many items manufactured by Deerhunter and have been pleased with their products,I will be more than happy to continue so long as the warranty offered is honoured without any issues
