Anyone had a look through the GPO hd or meopta meopro hd binos,what are they like in low light.

Difficult question to answer, if both are HD then the coatings should be good. Meopta have a strong following and GPO a solid and growing reputation for a relative newcomer. You could try Googling for comparison/reviews of specific models but it often depends how your current eyesight works with a set of binos (same with scopes). You probably should also consider Vortex’s offerings too. The only sure way however is to try as many as you can ideally at the same time in low light - and then choose, a situation that will likely never happen.

I have a new set of GPO 10x32 Rangefinder bought as I’m trying to light3n my “load”. My regular binos are Leica HD-B 10x42 Geovids which frankly are stunning. The GPOs are not as “rich” in view but, when tested at LL against the Leicas, fared well and ranged better!

I'm a bit of a fan of Meopta glass. I have a pair of Meopro HD 8x32 that I took in part-ex for a scope and was gobsmacked at how good they are. As with anything else, it's whether or not they suit you and your purpose, so try and get to look through a pair before you buy.

Agree - I have a set of Meopro 10x42 that I first stalked my stalking with a few years ago and frankly, they are outstanding. Meopta is such an underrated brand - the only reason why I moved on was that I wanted an integral rangefinder solution and some “Mad Money” allowed me to buy the Leicas.

I’m fussy with my optics, recently got a used pair of Meopta HD and very impressed, so much so I bought my wife a pair of optika 6 ( good but outer 10% of image is a bit soft) but better still image than the vortex of simular price point she used to have.

Anyone know the difference between the evolve and passion in GPO binos is there a difference apart from the name.
