GPO binos ?

Anyone use GPO binos for stalking , looking at getting a new pair of binos and looking at GPO
They seam reasonably priced and don’t want to spend thousands on a new pair, or any other recommendations, possibly up to £1500 max .

I’d look for a good quality second hand pair from Zeiss Leica Swarovski , 1500 gets you a lot of bino

I bought a pair of GPO range finding 10x32 as an experiment given my Leica 10x42 HD-B are quite heavy and bulky, and I cannot afford the equivalent Leica Geovid Pros. They are good, fast to range and accurate, with a slight blue cast but lack the “punch” that the Leica’s have. Despite the weight saving, I invariably still take the Leicas out stalking and the GPO pair have been relegated to back-up duties, use by my youngest when accompanying me, or travel binos on holidays. IIRC correctly, they cost ~£800 from Stealth Birding.

GPO don’t use European glass contrary to what the name of the company insinuates.

I would also recommend a secondhand pair of Swarovski, Leica or Zeiss.

Yes theyre Chinese built I believe. Decent enough looking but lacking top end performance of top gear.
