Bisley cancellation - high winds.

I was due on the 600 yard point on Sunday - and have just picked up a 'cancellation' message from my Club; due to the anticipated high winds.

If you are due at Bisley (or indeed any other range) this weekend, it may be worth checking before you set off.

Thanks for the heads up.

Will be departing there shortly for a morning delivering ‘chalk & talk’ followed by some shooting this afternoon - BSRC firing points are undercover 👍

Really looking forward to the drive up, not, but at least I’m not out bothering the pheasants!

It’s really quiet up here - a bit of noise from Melville & the shotguns but otherwise not a rifle shot to be heard!!

@Klenchblaize - I don’t think twiddling bobs would work today - probably better to aim at the target several lanes down & let the bullet drift in!!

Went to WMS a while back, shooting from one hill top at the other side of the valley my target was 1110 yards away in a full strength gale running left to right. I put every bit of windage on and still had to hold left by 1.5 mil on the reticule 😳 it’s achievable but the NRA gravel huggers might get a bit nervous about it.
