Black bear hunting recommendations

Morning,

Can anybody recommend an outfitter in the USA or Canada for a black bear hunt?
Ideally one that can organise the relevant licenses/permits and offer gun rental etc…

I’ve always wanted to target a grizzly bear but after seeing the prices a black bear seems a much cheaper starting point!

I would also love to do this. I briefly spoke to a guy in Canada and they were about $3500 + flights which I thought was quite reasonable

I used them a few years back and found them excellent

Cooks Outfitting in Sask. they have a lot of color phase bears in the area so you can hunt black bears and come home with a brown/cinnamon if you are patient.

They do a lot of American and Canadian veterans and service members so that’s why I’m mentioning them

If money is no object I can name a few outfits in eastern NC. A much different style of hunting but that area is home to giant blacks. Routinely, and I stress Routinely, they kill 500# and larger bears.

I’m in Ontario. Black bear hunting is spring and fall 99% over bait.

BC has coastal black bears that are on average the largest. Vancouver island black bears are considered their own subspecies and the largest. But you can hunt mainland BC costal blacks for less $$. BC is also spot and stalk hunting spring and fall. Mostly done in logging cuts or coast line. I also believe these bears score the largest. There are always exceptions.

Alberta I believe you can hunt spot and stalk and over bait.

Saskatchewan and the rest of the provinces baited with maybe the slim chance of spot and stalk in farm country.

Also most provinces I know you can hunt bears with hounds. Again sometimes started off baits where legal.

Some places have brown colour phase black bears and some white chests.
