Blade sharpening

I use an oil stone for most knife touch ups, but for accurate sharpening I love my Lansky sharpener for hollow ground blades where you really do not want to cock up the bevel.

I think I need to invest in this after a raised eyebrow conversation with my dad when he was showing me how to sharpen his wood chisels! 🤦‍♂️😂 I’m 46!

I’m sure the stropping is removing the burr but I’d like the polish effect on the strop from the paste as well!

Thanks for your advice 👍👍
Wood plane blades and woodworking chisels ang Gouges are 01 tool steel still the most commonly used . Stropping is called as such as its done on a strop but you then strike the burr off after raising one with a stone etc . we all know what's meant

I spent a fortune on a Tormak T4 grinding machine, missus went mad until i sharpened all the kitchen knives too. Never get it out anymore as she volunteers my services me to her mates, for sharpening that is 🤷‍♂️
Awesome machine mind but use it when she’s out 👀
