Blaser 6.5 Creedmoor Barrel

Currently got a Blaser R8 with a .308 barrel on it. Looking at investing in another barrel and have decided on 6.5 Creedmoor. Would be keen to hear people’s opinions on the barrel, and what ammo they’ve found to be the best? Cheers, Will

I use it for capercaillie and black grouse hunting here in Sweden.I reload Lapua Scenar 7 & ScenarL 7,8g and the accuracy is very, very good. I have shot my tightest 300m group ever with the 7,8g.

I have the Match barrel. Basic handloading with good dies to saami spec full length resize gave me 7mm at 100m and that was without being all ‘targety’ about it. So I would say there is nowt wrong with the barrel.

I used to have a standard fluted 6.5 Creed Blaser barrel that would clover leaf with Federal 95gr Vmax and Hornady 143gr ELDX factory ammunition.

That’s great to hear! Sounds like a fantastic barrel for accuracy then, even with factory ammunition.
