What has this level of accuracy to do with Blaser specifically, I can get 1" at 100 with my Remington .223 whilst listening to Margaret's speeches (I find her calming). I do like the 'falling trigger mechanism' though - a friend dropped his and it cost quite a lot to replace.

1/2 inch ragged hole with my .22. .222, .243, 6.5 and .308 using factory Ammo

Only time there is a variance is when the nut on the butt gets a bit shakey .:eek::doh:

I’ve never had any problem with accuracy with any of mine, superb barrels

Apart from the OP asking the question, absolutely nothing, but I assume the question has been asked, because he's interested in owning a Blaser, and not a Remington ;)

Correct apart from I already own a custom Remington .
I was just wondering if the Blaser with the mechanism can produce similar accuracy to what a custom can as they are similar money involved to get one ?
Now if I did my part with my Remington in can give one hole size 5 shot groups .
If I then I had a shot of a Blaser would it produce the same results ?

With factory, possibly, if you have the time, money, and patience, and luck to find the ammunition a particular rifle likes.

If you are home loading, absolutely, assuming you have the time, money, and patience to find the right load.

There's nothing wrong with a Remington, I've had several, and with home loads, all would shot very well.

I have a Blaser in 243 6.6 55 and 308

Its pretty good. Shoots almost as well as my Sako75 (because it has a heavy stock) and about the same as my Tikka T3 light

243 and 6.5 give sub 1" at 100m 308 bout 30mm which is pretty much what Id expect from my Sako and T3 (308) and I put the worse grouping down to lack of weight in the gun

I have one rifle that is just amazing and its my old heavy barrelled Sako 595 in 22 250 which repeatedly gives 1/2 " groups because its virtually no recoil, more consistent due to the heavy barrel and weighs a ton

If people think the Blaser is a big step up from their previous rifles, they obviously owned some rubbish rifles.

If you want better than 1" at 100m you need a proper target rifle not a stalking rifle. The blaser is too light and the barrel is too short to beat a proper target rifle

Which is as it should be. I dont want to carry a 15lb target rifle around

BUT if you want a modular rifle system. The Blaser is excellent and I am pretty happy with it

243

6.5 55

308 (ignore the sighter shot left)

Sako75 243 lent to a bloke whos never shot it before (from high seat)

Same bloke 6.5 55 Blaser (from high seat)

Mines an early attaché in .243, had from new since 1995; shot several thousand beasts in that time, still thumbnail grouping to this, so I suppose it depends on the size of the hole you're looking to get in twenty plus years time. Short fluted barrel too, so not a target or varmint barrel by any stretch of the imagination.

No pictures but my R8 in.308 normally does 1 ragged hole with 150gr Sako's , took a non shooting friend out on the range last week and gave him a go , annoyingly he shot virtually the same sized group and has not let me forget it since.
