Blaser barrel cerakoted experience after prolonged use?

Hi Guys,

Has anyone here got there blaser barrel cerakoted?

I wondering how has it worked out for you? has the finish remained intact in areas of heavy use and around where the scope clams on the barrel etc?

I got a Blaser barrel cerakoted that was a little bit rough around the edges on the exterior but was in good order when bore scoped.
@Glendine I’ll get the photos to you later this week and my experience has been very positive and it’s been very durable. I had mine done by Grant Taylor in Dundee who did a first class job.

Probably had the scope which is in Blaser mounts on and off more than 100 times and as you can see there’s very little signs of wear.

That does look like a tidy and robust finish. That's reassuring, in the event that the finish on mine needs fixing.

Out of interest, did the chap cerakote your watch too?

Having used both R8 and R93 during winter hunting for more than 20 years I see no idea in ceracoating the barrel unless you want it to be Tacticool.

Had multiple Blaser barrels ceracoted. All have stood up very well to use and scope changes. A professional application lasts very well
