Blood detection devices?

I was wondering if anyone knows of any blood detection torches or anything like that. I'm colour blind a find it almost impossible to find a blood trail. Is there anything out there that others are using. Any help greatly appreciated. If not can someone please make one!

Look around for a Surefire Kroma, not cheap but it works. It has three LED lights, white as a normal torch, red for working in darkness so as not to spoil your night vision and blue which shows blood as very black and shiny.
Hope that is of interest.

My mate who uses one of these suggests that you might like to try a cheap torch with a blue LED before splashing out on a Kroma, because they are quite expensive.

This may be a silly question but does it need to be night time to use these torches on a blood trail?

Nothing beats a dog. Even a poor dog is better than the torch things ! Spend your cash on a good dog box and take the dog.
