Blue tongue

There have been regular updates from BDS (among others) about the bluetongue situation for the past couple of months.
If you want to be kept bang up to date then subscribe to APHA updates and you'll get a text message about the latest developments on a daily basis.

Here's yesterday's update, for example, recieved by text:

APHA: Following active surveillance in the Norfolk Temporary Control Zone (TCZ) a further case of bluetongue in cattle has been identified on a premises near Limpenhoe in Norfolk. Movement restrictions continue to apply to cattle, sheep, camelids and other ruminants in the Zone so please check the Bluetongue interactive map for details: ArcGIS Web Application. More information, including how to spot and report the disease is available on GOV.UK: Bluetongue: how to spot and report it. There is still no evidence that bluetongue virus is currently circulating in midges in Great Britain. Surveillance is ongoing.
