Bodger

I’m surprised no one has steamed in on this one Foxy, are you sure you heard your admirers correctly ? was it “bodger”or could it have been more like “Bodgit”, accents have a way of misinterpreting words, I’m also presuming your surname is Scarper.

I always wondered what I was being called on more than a few occasions. Now I know I am quite pleased….

I went to Horsleys Green Camp (Stop tittering at the back) school in West Wycombe in 1955, for 3 months and the Bodger’s makeshift places were still evident in the local woodland then.
Think Horsleys Green was disused Army accommodation as set out like a spider and built from timber.
Happy days.

On reflection it could have been “codger” as it was usually preceded by “old”….
