So.... They didn't buy you a bigger boat!!

Here's hoping the weather stays fine, for Cumbria that is ;-)

Well, from the early rain shower that promised to dampen the day...... To the shower that turned up to sunshine and a decent breeze that kept the midge's at bay, here's how some of the motley crew performed.....

Chris Batty Shield.

1. R Gillespie 89/30/119
2. K Atkinson 90/29/119
3. I Butler 88/28/116
4. A Corney 88/28/116

The Pool Shoot

1. S Heaps 10/10/20
2. J Wolfe 10/9/19
3. J Grice 10/9/19
4. J Barnes 10/9/19
5. B Ridley/A Warwick/D White/ all shot a very respectable 10/8/18

Once more R Gillespie found the Key to HWH's "Frisky Whisky" store and liberated a bottle for the Raffle, which was won by M Bell.

I would like to thank Bear, K Atkinson and J Wolfe for assistance with the Pool Shoot and RO duties, and to all those kind souls who donated prizes towards the bottle and insult throwing event at the end of the day.

Wishing everyone well, and hoping to see you all on the 16th of August for the final bash of the year.

12 shots total based on the BDS format.
Being 3 shots at 100 yards on the standard grouping target from a simulated high-seat and 3 shots also from here on the Roebuck target, 3 shots sitting or kneeling at 70 yards and 3 shots standing at 40 yards with use of a stick optional at 40 yards also on the Roebuck target.

HWH.

As HWH has described, also........

The "Pool Shoot" is two shots.... 1 each, at 2 targets. And a three shot zero target, for those numpties that turn up to a DSC without a correctly zero'd rifle/scope... You'd be surprised how many turn up and dare not shoot the Comp before trying their rifles first ;-)

A reminder that the final Border Stalkers Shoot of 2015 is on the 16th (Sunday) 10.00hrs or thereabouts, at Penrith Clay Spuggy Shooting Ground ;-)

I stand (or sit, at the kitchen table) corrected Hubert.

It's the "Gun" bit...... Smooth Bore..... Tool of Ignorance ;-)

Well, I think we had everything covered from Butterfly's to Buffalo this time, but here goes with how some of them did......

Hubertus Shield and Corney Cup

1. K Story 90/30/120
2. A Waite 90/29/119
3. S Wolf 89/29/118
4. D Haddock 87/30/117

Pool Shoot

1. C Wolf 10/10/20
2. D Hartley 10/9/19
3. R Barnes 10/9/19
4. P Gee 10/9/19

The Free Raffle was won by C Wolf once Robin G had very kindly raided the Liquor store.

I would like to thank the Ratwife, Bear and Zaitsev for their assistance in helping to run the event, and to all the kind souls who made donations to the prize fund.

The proposed dates for next years shoots are as follows.

April 17th. June 19th and August 21st or to make it easier.... The 3rd Sunday in each of the months stated.

I would like to wish everyone a good summer (what remains of it) and I hope to see you all next year.

Kind regards.
