Our first shoot is on Sunday, 15th of April. Usual Bowscar, Penrith, range. 10am start.
I must get some bullets loaded and tested before then !

There will be an RFD present on the field so if you need any ingredients for re-loading etc let me know.

I see that the NW BDS Branch are putting on a shoot also on August 19th. which is our Autumn shoot day for the Bill Grant Memorial Trophy, [ The Hubertus Shield]. Bill was a founder of the NW Branch.

Would love to attend, but im already booked in for a two day F Class comp that weekend, next time i'll be free I hope.

The day was bitterly cold with a strong facing wind and I was frozen sitting waiting for entries which were late in appearing and relativelly few in number.
Only 21 entries in total were received with one competitor arriving too late to enter.
Due to current lambing issues some of our regulars were absent.
Even in view of the adverse conditions scores were high with David Latimer taking first place with an excellent 119/120.
This was with the rifle he won from the `Help for Heroes` raffle which he won with the winning ticket I wrote out for him at one of our previous shoots last year.
Second was David Hartley with a very good 118/120.
Leading 6 places as follows :-
1. D.Latimer. 119/120.
2. D.Hartley. 118/120.
3. A.Waites. 118/120.
4. D.Haddock. 116/120.
5. A.Wood. 116/120.
6. J.Wolfe. 115/120.
Due to severe eye problems I could not complete my course of fire.

Pool shoot at 130 yards :- Peter Parker 19/20. [8mm bullseye.]

The free raffle for a bottle of Scotch was won by entry No.13 Mr. D. White.

Grateful thanks to those who assisted as range officers and to the competitors themselves for their donated prizes.
An R.F.D. was present on the field and supplied many items to those present. This will be an on-going feature of our shoots.

Thanks again to all, HWH.
