Yep - I kid you not - a ferret!
As and from last month if coming in from the mainland to NI you now need a bit of paper and to be sure that your pet of choice has been microchipped!
Pal was bounced by the Pet Police in Cairnryan this afternoon - however being from NI he doesn’t need this utterly nonsensical bit of paper for his dog.
You have been warned….

I helped build that pet travel site for DEFRA a while back. I remember wondering at the time how many people could possibly be taking their ferret to NI...

My daughter used to take her ferret around the estate in a harness and lead just like this lady. The kids on the estate were fascinated and would always gather round for the opportunity to stroke her. Oddly she (the ferret, not my daughter) never bit any of them, she had no such reluctance with me though! :scared:
